Decorating for Christmas is one of my very favorite things to do, so today I thought I would highlight some of the best Christmas kitchen decor ideas from around the web. From kitchen cabinet Christmas decorations to kitchen island Christmas decor, I’ve got the ultimate list of how to bring that holiday spirit to the room you use most!
I love Christmas. Literally every part of the whole season. From Thanksgiving on (because yes, I believe that Christmas decor should wait until after Thanksgiving) I want Christmas trees, twinkle lights and a constant drip of the Hallmark Channel. Speaking of the Hallmark, I think we can all agree that they are the experts when it comes to dreamy and beautiful Christmas decor.
Here are a few Christmas decorating hacks I’ve learned from my excessive (maybe obsessive?) Hallmark movie watching:
- Twinkle lights. Twinkle Lights everywhere. Then more twinkle lights. The best way to bring the cheer to your home is with twinkle lights. EVERYWHERE. No space is off limits. The bathroom? Yes. The attic? Yes (you never know when you’ll find an old time machine up there). Your barn? Yes. The back of your pickup? Yep, I’ve seen it. The more lights the more cheer. You must get this step right.
- “Garland” that whole thing. On Hallmark “garland” is a verb, meaning, put garland on every banister, ledge and open space. Add twinkle lights to complete the look (refer to step 1).
- Get a Tree for Every open space. To really get the Hallmark look, you need a tree in every open area in your home, this includes the kitchen.
- Use texture. The homes on the Hallmark channel are cozy. They use a variety of textures to create a warm and inviting space. This means you need pillows, blankets and soft fabrics to get it right.
